when home is far away from home

how can it be that only after a year, our new place of residence begins to feel like home? it's been more than 12 months from my last posting, back then, my boyfriend and i started a new job in a new country, went home to manila for our wedding, and started our married life in buckinghamshire.

how many years would it take for me to stop thinking of manila and realize the philippines is not where i want to be?

would that time come?

i don't want to forget. i don't want to stop coming back home to manila.

internet radio

mahirap umalis ng pinas, mahirap ding bumalik - you'll suddenly learn your favorite hangout is now other persons' hangout.. you don't know half the names of the people you're watching on local tv... you suddenly notice that your parents look much older than what you remember... and you wish that you never left...

buti na lang may internet, buti naimbento ang chat at webcam... buti may tfc and internet media - specifically internet radio. we just discovered eradioportal.com - its a link to all our local radio stations... its really funny how at the middle of the afternoon, you hear traffic updates - what to avoid? ayala avenue or buendia? do i ride the mrt going to ortigas to avoid the traffic at edsa? tapos around mid morning, you hear the three o'clock habit. may mga promos and advertisements din.

para kang nasa pinas. hindi ka mahuhuli sa balita.

i can not watch tfc while working but i still can hear what my country is doing during the day. it keeps me updated and its sure is nice to hear my own kind of music.
